So about two days ago, our channel was removed from youtube like completely off the platform with zero prior warning. No active strikes just like that in the blink of an eye everything i've worked for in 10 years, just completely gone right. This was the email that we got. We have reviewed your content found severe repeated violations of our community guidelines because of this we have removed your channel from youtube uh, which didn't even tell us like the reason our channel was removed.

But apparently, when you clicked on our channel, the reason was for content designed to harass, bully or threaten, which was just completely bizarre to us, because we make reddit reaction videos. And so what do you do when youtube? Does you wrong, obviously, because usually there's no sort of communication between youtube and its creators? You go on twitter, you cry about it, you cry for their attention and so that's what we did. We posted youtube, just removed our channel completely for content designed for us to bully or threaten. We had no strikes or warning of this ad team youtube and uh.

You know, oh my god, they res they respond that way, as they always do in a way that never makes anybody ever feel good about the situation. It kind of sounds a bit like this. We are deeply sorry we're sorry if i had like the sorry, the strength to like edit this i'd put just youtube's logo over this guy's face. Sorry, we're sorry, and so the main point i made when we released the video on mxr plus was that look.

We understand, if you make mistakes on, strikes, age restrictions demonetizations, which you definitely do quite a lot on a regular basis, but completely terminating a channel off of just the most erratic thing. Just so casually. It's like, even if you have a hint that it might be a mistake, it's just still painful to go through right when you get the email when you open it up when you read it, your heart's pounding like it's just it's just not a good feeling. That being said, although this was a terrible mistake, which probably should never have happened, i have to say youtube did respond to us in a timely manner and got back to us the next day, yeah, which i honestly was a little bit surprised about same.

I guess they also realized the severity of the issue and decided that you know they should act quickly and not maybe wait till the weekend or something like that. So here's the weird thing they send me this email here, uh trying to provide more background on how they evaluate the video and the actions they took and the reason they gave was youtube is not the place for nudity pornography or other sexually provocative content, which is Again, just really confusing because it said we've been for bullying and apparently that's not the case. We've been for sexual content and apparently this was off of a specific video that we had uploaded for testing, which also after review. They realized was a mistake, but just the fact that somebody saw a video they didn't like that might have had some kind of sexually provocative content.
They then decided to go ahead and just erase an entire channel based off of that, which is just the most ballsy. Like out of pocket thing to do like, i can't imagine being like a youtube employee like your job, is to review videos and you're. Like i don't like this video, i think this guy's entire livelihood entire channel that you built for 10 years should just disappear right now, like it's crazy that people on youtube feel like they can do that with zero repercussions. So they say your video was flying by the community's reviewed by our enforcement team.

Upon further review, we determined that content fallen sure of our policy interpretation and reinstate your video, but it's not all bad. I feel like, after this experience, i've actually received one of the first messages, i've ever gotten from youtube that actually sounded genuine like a real person who was behind it and actually felt kind of sorry. I know it's really hard to believe in my 10 years of dealing with youtube. I don't think i've ever gotten a message as close to human-like as this before, because a lot of the times when they try and help you and apologize and say sorry.

It's usually tinged with some kind of like we're doing this because we have to. But we really don't give a about you kind of deal like even when youtube is apologizing or trying to help. It always feels like they hate you deep down and are very reluctant to do so and would rather just ban your channel off their platform immediately and says: hey, hey right, the double hey they're, trying to prove that hey! This is a human here. You know like i'm, i'm not just saying a bot would never say: hey, hey, hey, hey just want to follow up on reply.

We have set i'm so sorry this happened and wanted you to know that we definitely don't take this kind of thing lightly. We've shared feedback with the team to hopefully prevent similar mistakes really hate when anything gets removed by a mistake like this, but we try to work quickly as quickly as we can to fix it as soon as we're made aware real humans back here. Just trying to do our best, but we also recognize how big of an impact this had on you and for that we're. So so sorry, this might have been the first real evidence that there are actual real humans out there and they even stated we are real humans.

That's crazy! That's a thought! Wouldn't it do that because, like if you look at this message right, there's no uppercase! It's very freeform, there's repetition of words, there's parentheses, and then you look at the first message they sent me following up. I passed this on to the relevant team. To take another look we'll let you know here when we hear back from the team. This is about what most of us are used to, seeing from youtube right.

The kind of automated copy paste response from a bot and then you can immediately see that they stopped capitalizing and they started worrying about, like you know, and i i genuinely like okay. So i was very sad and i was very hurt. Not gon na lie very bitter, but i get it if you guys are honest when you say that, like you, you're going to share the feedback back with the team and not do the same thing to other creators, not terrifying other people into thinking their whole lively Has just gone, then: i'm you know i'll trust you on that, if you're a bot, my god, maybe their bots - have just gotten really advanced yeah, who says real humans back here. Overall, it's it's just mind-blowing how this even happened.
It's it's crazy! How just one employee can just go ahead and take down an entire channel like this with very little basis and very little resistance. But it does seem like youtube, is now hopefully aware of this fact and how it's able to so easily happen in their system, and they do seem like they actually care and want to fix it. So that message, at least with this one person working in this company with most likely hundreds of other employees in charge, it makes you feel good to know this. One person that works at youtube is like yay.

You know, whoever made this message. You are the best i've ever seen of youtube you're, the first person that sounds like you, don't hate, my guts, which is like really crazy, but you know i think, like through this experience. The one thing that's been keeping me hopeful is the insane amount of support, and not only from the fans but also like other creators yeah. I was like whoa yeah.

So again, please, if you haven't subscribed to mx or plus in case we're just wiped off the platform tomorrow again, because some other person, not this person, but some other person on youtube - decides to go on a power trip, and it just takes one person's judgment in That company, it seems - and if you want you can also join us on patreon, where we post uncensored content and additional content and help provide a backbone if youtube ever disappears. For us, which who knows it could happen, and we understand that there are real humans back there they're trying their best. They make mistakes, but it just feels like they're making mistakes all the time constantly over and over again, without seemingly getting any better we're increasing the communication between the creator and youtube and at this point just errors like deleting an entire channel. It's it's very scary.

You know so, like that's what i mean by it's, not getting any better, it seems to be getting worse yeah. So i really hope this message is: is genuine it's genuine and it's not from just one guy that has no power to do anything. So that's it! We'll see you guys for another video tomorrow or today: peace.

Too bad the whole "Fairtube" thing died down, this would have been an excellent piece of evidence against Youtube's horrible business practices.

it wasn't a mistake, it was a message. youtube isn't doing this to create a safe community, they are doing it to send the message that they can fuck you over whenever they want and there is nothing you can do about it. if you upset the orthodoxy, they will come for you. this isn't even about control, it's about humiliation you will be obedient or you will be dehumanized.

I really want to hear from the person who did do this and why they did, what makes them think this was ok.
But I have to say I did say this was going to happen at some point thanks to the thumbnails and the last clip of the videos which is always naughty in nature.
When handled by the wrong employee.

Your guys content is a guilty pleasure for me, its helped me (and many others) make it through the last couple years better with some lighthearted laughs.

I know I'm not the only one that wishes you two the best and hope things in your life to be well. That includes if you guys need to take breaks or change things up for your own health, we all will understand and support you.

YOOOO!! nice! See i told you guys, you would be ok. But still like you said that heart pounding, gut feeling like you wanna throw up when you realize like all your work and thousands of hours over 10 years of work just got dropped down the drain and you had 0 control over it. I can honestly say I know EXACTLY how that feels. That feeling is the worst. But glad to see you guys are back for now, until the next time they do some dumb sh like this again, but hey here's rooting for and hoping it never happens again like this.

Just checked, all the Tik Tok videos of people bouncing their bits๐Ÿ˜‰, in a sexual manner are all still there๐Ÿค”. So YouTube doesn't seem that bothered in general about sexual content๐Ÿค.

Iโ€™m so glad you got the channel backโ€ฆ However Iโ€™m still going to support the Patreon because I feel thatโ€™s the best way to show support with YouTube constantly bullying this channel and the mods channel.

I've been following you guys for 2 years now that's crazy, but what I never understand, is your bans and strikes and so on. There is MUCH worse content out there. You guys don't even swear that much, but what swearing you guys do is censored!!. I watch guys who start their videos with "G'day you good Mother F*cukers!"

I think you extrapolating a lot from this short message Henry. But, I hope you're right.
Honestly, I think a more robust age verification filter is required. Then we wouldn't have to worry about tweens getting the occasional flash of nipple, causing the YouTube algorithm to flip out and decapitating much loved content providers, like yourselves…. just a thought.
