MxR, to fix the FPS issue, that came with the update (as far as i can tell), all you have to do is go to your subnautica properties in steam, go to "set launch options" and add -force-d3d9
this will force dx9, fixing fps and driver crashes alike. 🙂

Edit: also those crystals are used for the ion power cells and maybe other keys i belive they may have changed that since earlier versions.
