Am I the only one who could tell that the plot for this game is the plot of the anime Masamune-kun’s revenge?
Actually gave the game a try after seeing this video again. Haven't finished yet, but the story's not too bad. Not something that'd win awards, but enough to be interesting. Think soap opera levels of story. Cheesy, but can still be fun.
The problem, though, is Sky and Klara. They are 100% meant to be your sister and mother, and the dialogue was written with that in mind, which leads to a lot of dialogue being clunky or making no sense if you enter even the default "roommate/tenant/landlady." It's clear what they're supposed to be. Which makes it worse that they force the past situation with Sky having already happened, and push for another, ah, "event" with her. You know the whole time you're playing that they're siblings. It's not just how often the main character goes "This is wrong, it's taboo, you're not supposed to have feelings for your ______", but also dialogue where Klara is saying something clearly about her kids and it sounds clunky if she's talking with great care about raising her "constituents."
If they cut the, ahem, "familial relations," it would be a fun little story to go through. Not a "revenge" game. More a "mystery" game. Albeit one where it feels like half the supporting cast is in on the mystery. But every time the dialogue reminded me that the MC and Sky were supposed to be siblings and it'd already forced them to hook up, it made me want to stop.
I came from the future to watch this & it's hilarious.
