Teachers always pair up the best student with the worst student, the second-best with the second-worst, and so on. I'm convinced they must teach them to do this in teacher's-ed programs, because they all do it. The theory is that the best students will somehow help the worst students improve, but of course it doesn't work out that way, partly because A) the bad students think they are cool and the good students are uncool, so they have no interest in being good students, and also B) the good students are accustomed to communicating in complete sentences, and you can't communicate with the worst students that way, they only know how to grunt, groan, and perform random acts of physical violence.
I'm so sorry Jeannie, but "C'est la vie" are actually four words.
