    Both in game in the books, witchers in general(not all of them) make a pretty specific point not to kill any "monster" that wasn't a direct threat to humans, in particular if the creature was quite intelligent.

    In one case, Geralt had been hired by a minor nobility of a small region to kill a golden dragon. not taking anything at face value Geralt went to speak with the dragon and came to be friends with the dragon, going so far as to defend the dragon when the noble came with a band of Men-at-Arms to kill it for profit.

    Witchers were seldom indiscriminate profit seekers, and tended to value harmony with wildlife. Geralt was unusual for being willing to go further than other Witchers to defend wild creatures from humanity.

    Fun one for you. I am the groundsman at a crematorium in UK we have a garden for children’s memorials which has a seesaw and other such children’s park things like a big wooden snail to help families and children learn and cope with the loss of children/ siblings
