Unfortunately, on a flat surface with two perpendicular objects, when the light source is directly above one of them, it will have no shadow while the other will have a shadow extending in varying lengths dependent upon the distance from the other object. When the objects are relatively close together, as was shown in the example, it will be more difficult to see but still applies. Additionally, back in those days they had way to identify how long a shadow was in each place at exactly the same time of day. The Earth is definitely round, but nothing shown in that video clip is something that actually verifies it without question.
